Wolf Full Moon in Leo Strength The Empress Moon Void Tarot

Zero Energy on Full Moon in Leo

Howllo! It is the Wolf Full Moon in Leo ♌︎.

Leading into it, I had some plan to honour the Leo (Strength) full moon (The Empress) by doing fiery, action-oriented things like cooking the spicy mutton vindaloo I had promised Fafa; or at least clock in more kilometres while running.

But instead, I woke up feeling exhausted with no reason. I had to drag myself out of bed and go through the work-day motions with low energy; skipping cooking, running even meditating.

We still went out for dinner; delicious African cuisine at Nyala but only with one glass of wine I was ready to crash on the bed. So yeah, looks like the Full Moon in Leo managed to burn my energy completely today. So I am going to bed now, even though it’s only 9 PM. Hopefully, I woke up the next day feeling a lot better.

Goodnight Lioness Moon!

New Moon Capricorn Tarot Spread Moon Void Deck

New Moon in Capricorn Tarot Spread

As you might have known, one of my tarot goals is to do a tarot spread for each new and full Moon throughout this year. So here is the first one, in conjunction with the first New Moon, in 2021.

The tarot spread is inspired by Shinjini’s New Moon in Capricorn tarot spread. I am using a freshly smoked-cleansed Stef, the Moon Void Tarot deck which seems to be a perfect fit for Moon-related tarot spread.

1. Significator for my career goal this year:

Eight of Pentacles

Can it be any clearer? Eight of Pentacles is about mastery and hard-work. To reach my career goal for this year, I ought to apply both attributes into my work-life.

Our efforts compound, even when we can’t see the growth.

2. Mindset that’s holding me back:

The Hermit

Err.. I struggled to grasp this one immediately. As a Virgo, being a hermit is like a normal state for me. But Hermit can also be a feeling of being disconnected and alone. This, connected with the action plans, below reminds me that I am not alone and that I have the support that I need to reach this goal.

3. Mindset that I need to adapt instead:

Seven of Wands

I am not at all surprise that Seven of Wands made an appearance. Seven of Wands is the overall energy I want to manifest into my life this year and that includes in the career aspect of it. I need to stand my ground, take up my well-deserved space, show myself and make sure that I am seen.

4. Action plans to reach my career goal:

Page of Pentacles

Crystal! Above anything else, Page of Pentacles for me represent learning. Continues learning and improving my skills at work will bring me closer to the goal.

5. Message from the Moon:

Judgement

It’s reminding me to put the hard-work now without worrying too much if I don’t see the expected result immediately/soon – which is something I am currently struggling with. That I ought to trust the process and the day will come when I will get to reap what I sow.

Also, a message in the book regarding Judgement:

Change is necessary in order to grow and evolve.

Well, that’s about it for me. I need to go back to do some more work tonight to reduce the piling new work-tasks. With that, Happy New Moon in Capricorn everyone! May it sprinkles us with the hard-working Capricorn energy to get a head start to reach the goals we set for ourselves this year.

Shedding Some Light on The Moon

“What is your association with The Moon card?”

My tarot teacher asked me when we practiced reading tarot with a spread.

I told her that:

“I always feel a strong connection to the moon. I also find The Moon card on most tarot decks attractive”.

She seemed a bit relieved by my answer, before going on explaining that tarot readers have divided perceptions about The Moon card; some consider it as a good card, while others find it difficult.

I looked at the card on the spread. We were using the Rider Waite Smith tarot deck. There a few things going on for sure. The lobster, the howling dogs, the towers with the dark sky draping the background. But nothing calls out to be as a problematic.

Yes, the moon can be emotional, but so are we, are we not?

I put my thoughts aside and continued reading the spread. I interpreted The Moon as I needed to wait for a whole month before being able to see any progress.

The Moon card (Pisces) itself is about intuition.

The Moon

It’s time to let the moon illuminate our dark side. For us to embrace our shadow-self, to go deeper inside, in the effort of understanding ourselves better.

The other day, I meditated under the full moon on Aries. Again a homework from my teacher. I took out all The Moon cards my all the tarot decks (excluding Rider Waite Smith tarot deck, as these days I only use it as a point of reference) I owned to contemplate more on it.

The depiction in The Spacious Tarot deck is my favourite. The card is dominated by a large moon – which reminds me of the time I went to Uluru and saw the moon up close point. It also has two mushrooms on it, which reminds me of The Lovers tarot card.

After spending sometime with The Moon tarot cards, I journaled about it – a whole three pages in my Moleskin. I am not ready to share it here yet. Thought at this rate, I have a feeling that I will eventually share it with you but for now, do know it has been cathartic.

That night, I honoured the moon’s energy by drinking Lavender tea and going to bed with Selenite charging me from the bedside table.

Ace of Pentacles Moon Void Tarot

Learning Mindfulness from The Ace of Pentacles

I draw Ace of Pentacles today using the new Moon Void Tarot deck. Aces are happy news and blessings from the Universe. The Ace of Pentacles relates to earthly matter such as finance, career and health. It usually comes bearing gifts — from good health, job promotion to financial windfall.

Nice! I like unexpected gifts.

I also like Aces, and of all the Aces in tarot, Ace of Pentacles is my favorite just because it’s somewhat more tangible compared to other suits. And as someone who believes in Law of Attraction, drawing Ace of Pentacles turns the day to fun scavenger hunt moments. It urges me to be more mindful throughout the day so that I can spot the Universe’s gifts for the day. At the same time, I tend to be more grateful on my Ace of Pentacles days for the same reason as before, mindfulness.

So far here are the things I identified as the Universe’s gifts today: refund from VicRoads, refund from another company, new-to-us delicious Srilankan food delivery service and grapes on sale in Woolies.

Btw, the Ace of Pentacles on the Moon Void Tarot deck resembles the Sun and today’s weather has been delightful. I can sense a rainbow is in the making.

Maybe I will go and sit on the balcony with a cuppa and my current read for a while.

The Moon Singapore Bookshop

Postcard from The Moon

I am in a much better post-PMS mood.

We are in my latest favorite bookshop in Singapore, The Moon.

Fafa is sitting beside me, busy arranging timing with his former favorite hair-stylist to cut his invisible side bangs that has been bothering him throughout the day. I am writing this while waiting for the barista to prepare our coffee orders.

From here, I want to go outside and walk around so I can take mural pictures around Chinatown. But it’s so hot and humid, and we already have a hard time to breath; at least it doesn’t rain cats and dogs today (yet), and for that, I am grateful.

Today is also officially one year since we got the matching Torii gate tattoo by Ron Sugano in Tokyo, Japan.
