Six of Pentacles Spacious Tarot Deck

Six of Coins of Gratitude

This morning, I draw the Six of Pentacles from The Spacious Tarot deck. Traditionally, Six of Pentacles is about charity, helping hands and a sense of community.

In the Spacious Tarot deck, the Six of Pentacles is depicted as six floating coins. A bird-nest laid on the floor, ready to catch the coins if they do decide to fall.

All-day today I have been trying to figure it out why did I draw Six of Pentacles today. The day, I invited my friends for a belated Diwali celebration lunch.

Shouldn’t Three of Cups be much more fitting? Even Four of Wands and Ten of Cups or Ten of Pentacles, but Six of Pentacles was an err…

That’s until right before they left, one of them offered to host the next hangout, immediately followed by the other one offering the one after. The third friend chimed in to do it in her place to close the circle.

Circle.

It was only then it clicked to me.

Six of Pentacles is about giving and accepting. It’s about sharing. And the sharing doesn’t always have to have “helping” undertone. It can also be sharing a good time, laughter, food and wine with my loved ones — my chosen community.

Six of Pentacles is also about gratitude which I am filled to the brim with today.
